Destinations Which Are A Must-visit Before You Reach 40

Destinations Which Are A Must-Visit Before You Reach 40

The world is way too big to spend most of your life in the same place. Even if you visit the same countries over and over again. You need to visit other places to experience different cultures and foods. It is something that we can only do when we are younger and before our bodies tell us that we can no longer do it. These tend to be the more adventurous holidays which is why you must get them explored before your best days go behind you.

Now, travelling can be very expensive, especially when it is on the other side of the world. Nonetheless, there is definitely a period where you have the money to travel and that is just before you have children. That's if you haven’t had them already.

If you want to book your next holiday destination but you don’t know where to go then you have come to the right place. Here are some of the best countries/destinations that you have to book if you haven’t been already.

French Riviera, France

France is a wonderful place to visit but either side of the country can offer two very different holidays. With the Eiffel Tower at one end and the hot, sunny coastline on the other side. However, the place we are telling you to visit is the French Riviera which is on the Mediterranean coastline. During the warmer months, this can be the perfect place to visit and catch some vitamin D.

In the peak of summer, it can be too hot for some people so consider visiting this destination when it is slightly cooler. This is either late April/ early May or September/October. You also want to avoid the summer holidays as this is when it is at its busiest time of the year.

Barcelona, Spain

Although this is a place which you can visit when you are older or above 40, it is probably best to visit this fantastic destination when you are younger as you will be doing a lot of walking. It is a very large city with tourist attractions here, there and everywhere. That is why you must consider visiting Barcelona when you are younger.

There are many things to see and do but if you want to make the most of your time. We recommend the Basilica de la Sagrada Familia, Park Guell, Gothic Quarter, The Magic Fountain and for the football fanatics, Camp Nou.

If Barcelona is a place which you have never been to before then we recommend you visit soon before you’re too old. Spring or September/October is probably the best time to visit this spot as it isn’t too warm and you can barely do anything.

Kotor, Montenegro

Up next is a destination that has only started to become recognised by the rest of the world and that is Montenegro. More specifically, Kotor. Podgorica is the capital of this marvellous country and Budva seems to be the main tourist destination however, Kotor is a place that cannot go unrecognised.

If you are into history then there are a few things which you can see such as the Kotor Fortress, the Lovcen and, the Lady of the Rocks which you can get to on a boat. Remember to try their gelato once you are there as well. You can also do some yacht spotting whilst you are there on the coastline.

Now, Montenegro is a very hot country. It barely snows all year round, even at the coldest times of the year and you can expect to see many bushfires if you are visiting in the height of summer. For a more enjoyable time, consider visiting Kotor during March or April as the peak of summer can be too hot.

Machu Picchu, Peru

Machu Picchu is one of the new 7 wonders of the world so it is safe to say that it is a popular destination. Further, it will require hiking for more than 11,000 feet so you need to be in great physical condition to do this. You will feel like you are in the clouds however, it is a feeling that not many people get to experience.

Although Machu Picchu is a fantastic place to visit, Peru has many wonderful places to visit and is something that you should definitely consider if you have the money in the bank. You’ve got the Colca Canyon, Saqsaywaman, Nazca Lines and the Magic Water Circuit. All of which are great for experiencing.

Peru can be quite a hot country but you also want to make sure you visit during the dry season so you can explore the mountains without worrying about muddy paths. The best time to visit Peru would probably be May to September however, you can expect it to be very popular during this period.

To Conclude

As you can see, there are many wonderful places to visit but there are plenty of others which you can explore. These are just some of the best. So, get your friends or family together and head to one of these destinations. Remember to pack all of the essentials that you need for this wonderful trip including your portable chargers, swimming trunks, sun cream, hiking boots/shoes, sandals and any of the other essentials which you will need. If you’re a regular nicotine enthusiast, taking cigarettes to some countries is prohibited, so instead take some nicopods if you suspect you will get that nicotine craving during your travels.
