A major US-based American Airlines ranks number one based on its fleet size. It makes travelers travel to every corner of the world but why is American Airlines canceling so many flights is a big question these days. These flight cancellations are affecting a huge number of passengers' trips. Moreover, cancellations and delays are higher this year than before the Covid-19 pandemic. For this inconvenience, the aviation department is also apologizing. Here the same reasons listed became the reason behind the trimmed schedule of flights in the past some time. 

• Changing Weather:- The first reason is bad weather. As we all know, climate change is an alarm, but few actions are being taken for it due to which the weather is becoming alterable at a fast pace, causing disturbances and consequently, some flights are getting canceled.
• Staff shortage:- One more reason has come forward is that there are some issues with the staff of this aviation wing. Some staffing problems accompany staff shortages. If several employees would not fill the requirement, then it s evident that there would be flight cancellations and/or reschedules, etc.
• Departmental:- Some shortcomings have also been reported at the State government Air Traffic Control department.
• Military basis:- Some air vehicles also serve in regions where some sudden conflict is going on. These military exercises also become obstacles in front of the passenger's itineraries as the boarding flights are engaged in other missions.
• Space missions:- Space lunches and missions also contribute to these cancellations.
• Rising flight demand:- After the pandemic, the number of passengers or travelers has increased, and the vacations spot have become crowded. This is also the reason attributed to these issues in American Airlines.
• Flights cancellation was just 2% in 2019, but now it has reached up to 20%.
• Technical problems:- Technical glitches are also the cause of this disruption; however, the process is working on getting rid of these glitches, but it would require some time
• Rising number of passengers:- Vacationers have lined up, and bookings have piled up with lesser air crafts, leading to congested air traffic, which has become one more reason for this vexation.
• Mechanical Problems:- It has also been reported that some inefficiencies characterize the cockpits of many planes, due to which onboarding flights are less.

Even after all such problems, either caused by nature or human error, all the teams engaged from state level to ground are working for the betterment of the aviation department and soon, no more cancellations would be there. Passengers are also required to cooperate as passengers is also one of the parts of the aviation system of a nation.
