Importance of ACCC Conductor

The high strength and lowered weight enables the conductor to combine 30 percent more aluminum and contributes to the conductors in effectively reducing conductor resistance.

This also enables the ACCC conductors to lower the line losses by 25 percent to 40 percent or even more if they are compared to any other type of conductors having the same diameter and weight, based upon the load level.

Additionally, the CTC Global’s ACCC Conductors showcase least thermal sag in comparison to other conductor types, they also operate in cooler running conditions and therefore, making a major contribution in grid reliability.

Moreover, the glass fiber and carbon hybrid core is proven to exhibit resistance to load fatigue cycles, higher impact and corrosion. Therefore, reducing the lifecycle cost by a lot. Even when the initial cost is slightly higher, the enhanced longevity and performance compensates for the cost.
