What Are The Surface Treatment Methods for Precision Tubes?

Polishing

Use mechanical, chemical or electrochemical effects to reduce the roughness of the surface of the precision tube to obtain a bright and smooth surface.

1. Mechanical polishing

Use tools such as oilstone strips, wool wheels, sandpaper, etc. to remove convex parts through cutting and plastic deformation of the material surface to obtain a smooth surface. It is suitable for pipes with simple shapes, but the labor intensity is high and the gloss retention time is not long.

2. Chemical polishing

Achieve bright and smooth through regular dissolution of the surface of the pipe. It has fast speed and high efficiency, but the brightness is slightly worse and ventilation equipment is required.

3. Electrochemical polishing (electrolytic polishing)

Similar to the principle of chemical polishing, but it can eliminate the influence of cathode reaction and has better effect. The mirror gloss is maintained for a long time, the process is stable, and there is less pollution, but the equipment investment is large.

Coloring treatment

1. Spraying

Spray a layer of coating, such as anti-corrosion coating, epoxy coating, etc., on the surface of the steel pipe to increase corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance.

2. Vacuum plating (PVD ion plating)

The coating is thin and can retain the metallic luster, with pure and diverse colors and strong bonding with the surface. Environmentally friendly and durable.

3. Nano spraying

Use nano materials with high hardness, high stability and high corrosion resistance as coatings. The surface hardness and oxidation resistance are 10 times stronger than ordinary coatings. It can also be waterproof, pollution-resistant, aging-resistant, and UV-resistant.

Wire drawing treatment

Through grinding, lines are formed on the surface of the pipe to enhance the visual effect and added value. Including straight wire drawing, random wire drawing, corrugated wire drawing, spiral wire drawing and other processes.

Galvanizing treatment

Immerse the steel pipe in molten zinc liquid to cover its surface with a layer of zinc to improve corrosion resistance. Including hot-dip galvanizing and cold-dip galvanizing.

Coating treatment

The steel pipe surface is treated with different materials, such as nickel plating, chrome plating, zinc-iron alloy plating, etc. It can increase the hardness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the steel pipe.

Chemical treatment

The steel pipe surface is pretreated by chemical methods such as degreasing and rust removal. Common chemical treatment methods include pickling and phosphating. It can improve the surface quality of the steel pipe and increase the adhesion and durability of the coating.

Passivation treatment

After treatment with a strong oxidant or electrochemical method, a passivation film is formed on the surface of the steel pipe to slow down the corrosion rate. The film layer is dense, stable in performance, corrosion-resistant, and has a self-repairing effect in the air.

Summary

When choosing the surface treatment method for precision tubes, comprehensive consideration should be given to the specific use environment, performance requirements and cost budget. Different surface treatment methods can be used alone or in combination to achieve the best effect. At the same time, strengthening construction quality control and subsequent maintenance is also the key to ensuring the effect of the surface treatment method.
