Acr Globalfix V4 Emergency Position-indicating Radio Beacon (epirb)

Introducing the most advanced EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon) available. The new ACR Epirb GlobalFix V5 EPIRB combines 406 MHz satellite connectivity with Automatic Identification System (AIS) functionality. This means that when the EPIRB is activated not only does it transmit your emergency signal to the global Cospas Sarsat satellite rescue system, but it broadcasts an AIS safety message on VHF frequencies that can be seen immediately by any AIS equipped vessel nearby. Other great features include Return Link Service (RLS) technology that provides visual confirmation to the user that their distress message has been received, a 121.5 MHz homing signal, and visible and infrared strobe lights for easy target identification at night or in poor visibility. Another new feature is Near Field Communication (NFC) which allows users to monitor their EPIRB using a smartphone App. ACR is the global leader in marine safety and rescue technology and the new GlobalFix V5 GPS EPIRB with AIS combines the durability and reliability they are known for with advanced technology designed to speed rescue response time.

When you’re setting out on a boat adventure, it’s important to have safety equipment you can count on. Designed with high-efficiency electronics that are built for performance, the GlobalFix™ V4 GP Emergency Position-Indicating Radio Beacon or EPIRB provides the protection you can trust in an emergency. Should the unexpected happen, this EPIRB will relay your location to a vast network of search and rescue satellites, allowing local first responders to get you home more easily.

Drastically increase your chances of survival at sea with the multiple built-in features of the GlobalFix™ V4 Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB). Upon activation, the GlobalFix™V4’s robust internal GPS accurately fixes your exact location, and your coordinates are broadcast via a powerful 406 MHz distress signal. In the absence of GPS data, orbiting Cospas-Sarsat satellites can accurately triangulate your position using the 406 MHz signal alone. A 121.5 MHz homing signal further guides searchers to your exact position.

The GlobalFix™ V4 is a full-featured EPIRB loaded with high-efficiency electronics for performance you can count on, including an internal 66 channel GPS for faster acquisition from a cold start. A protective keypad cover helps prevent false alarms, and the all-new, user-replaceable battery pack has a 10-year replacement interval—reducing the overall ownership cost and making replacement a breeze. The GlobalFix™ V4 has two functional self-tests to monitor the beacon’s transmission, power and battery performance, as well as GPS aquisition. Pair these tests with ACR’s 406Link.com optional testing portal and receive satellite confirmation messages directly to your cell phone or email.
