Means of Transport

Different types of transportation can be categorised into different means of transport:

1. Land Transport: Road transport and Rail transport
2. Water Transport
3. Air Transport

Land Transportation:
The land is our first realm of exploration, and students learn about the diverse vehicles that navigate it. They discover the speedy and agile cars and bicycles, the mighty and sturdy trucks and buses, and the classic and elegant trains.

Water Transportation:
As our journey continues, we set sail upon the waters. Students are introduced to boats and ships, ranging from small rowboats to colossal ocean liners. They learn about the vital role water transport plays in shipping goods across oceans and navigating rivers and lakes.

Air Transportation:
They encounter airplanes, helicopters, and hot air balloons. These aircraft defy gravity, making travel across continents possible and offering breathtaking aerial views.

Public vs. Private Transport:
The journey also highlights the distinction between public and private transport. Public transport, like buses and trains, is available to everyone and helps reduce traffic congestion and pollution. Private transport, such as cars, offers individual convenience and flexibility.

Safety and Responsibility:
The chapter emphasizes the importance of safety and responsibility while using different means of transport. Students learn about traffic rules, the significance of wearing seat belts, and the need for responsible behavior on the road, in the air, or on the water.

Special Vehicles
Special vehicles are special types of vehicles that are made for specific purposes. They are different from regular vehicles because they have unique jobs to do.

Some examples of special vehicles are Police cars, tractors, ambulances, firetrucks, cable cars, garbage trucks and hot-air balloons.
