Submerged arc welded straight seam steel pipes are divided into UOE, RBE, JCOE steel pipes according to their different forming methods.

The straight seam steel pipe welding production process is simple, the production efficiency is high, the cost is low, and the development is fast. However, due to the influence of the deviation of the blanking plate and the deviation of the plate, the position of the welding seam will continue to change. At present, the working method of human eye observation and manual adjustment of deviation is adopted. The manual adjustment has the following problems:

1. The observation accuracy is not high: the observation accuracy is generally above 0.5mm;

2. The welding speed is unstable and the manual response speed is slow: the response time is 1 second;

3. It needs to be adjusted in real time by a special person, which requires a large amount of labor and a high production cost;

4. The welding reflectivity of the welded pipe is high, and the wave amplitude is also high. When the probe is translated, the waveform is relatively stable, and roughly the same reflected wave amplitude can be obtained during flaw detection on both sides of the weld.

In order to solve the above problems, intelligent equipment is used to replace manual operation, so that one person can operate multiple equipment without human eye observation, and realize automatic welding.
