Fine-Art Travel Photographer Leslie Brashear Launches New Türkiye Photography Collection Following June and September Travels
Istanbul, Türkiye – September 28, 2026 – Fine-art travel photographer Leslie Brashear announced today the launch of a new Türkiye photography collection featuring images captured during her travels through Türkiye in June and September 2026.
Brashear spent time exploring Istanbul and its neighborhoods, waterways, architecture, colorful streets, and the everyday moments that give the city its distinctive character. Across her two visits, she photographed historic buildings, the Bosphorus, local businesses and streets, gardens, street cats, and the layers of life found throughout Istanbul. There was even a short visit to Antalya, producing a few images.
The new Türkiye collection currently features 44 photographs, with many more images from Brashear’s recent travels still to come. Her photographs capture both the recognizable beauty of Istanbul and the quieter details that can be easy to overlook—from intricate architectural elements and colorful facades to reflections on the Bosphorus and the personalities of the city’s ubiquitous street cats.
“Türkiye keeps giving me more to photograph,” said Brashear. “Every time I walk through Istanbul, I find something I didn’t see the last time. The color, the architecture, the water, the history, and especially the everyday life all seem to exist on top of one another. I can photograph the same neighborhood twice and come away with completely different images.”
Brashear’s photography emphasizes visual storytelling through light, atmosphere, color, and a sense of place, often looking beyond traditional landmarks to find the unexpected moments and overlooked details that reveal the personality of a destination.
Three images of note from the new Türkiye collection include The Sky Between, a dramatic view upward between two contrasting historic structures near Istanbul’s Spice Market; Walking Through Pattern, captured during one of Brashear’s Istanbul photo walks and featuring the interplay of architectural pattern, movement, and everyday life; and Fire on the Water, a vibrant Bosphorus scene captured in evening light.

A portion of every purchase supports the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN), benefiting Brashear’s family Purple Stride team, Curt’s Cancer Crushers, established in honor of her late brother Curt, who passed away from pancreatic cancer in January 2025.
